The horizontal and vertical combustion tester is mainly used to measure the flame retardant properties of plastic, rubber, film and other products under the specified fire source to judge the fire resistance level of refractory materials.

Sample requirements:

1) Sheet shape: cutting, casting, extrusion and other methods are acceptable, with smooth edges, clean surface and uniform density;

2) Size: L×W: 125±5mm×13.0±0.5mm, it is necessary to provide samples with small thickness and large thickness for testing; *, you need to provide samples of intermediate size, the thickness of the intermediate size span is not more than 3.2mm; the corner radius is not more than 1.3mm;

3) Series: If there are multiple models of color, density, etc., corresponding representative samples should be provided;

4) Quantity: 2 sets of samples less, each set of 5 samples.

Sample pretreatment:

1) 23±2C, 50±5%RH, 48Hoursmin;

2) Air exchange furnace, 70±1C, 168Hours and then put into a desiccator, cool at room temperature for at least 4 hours.

test program:

1) Clamping: Clamp 6mm from the upper end, the length direction is downward, the lower end of the sample is kept at a distance of 300±10mm from the upper surface of the preset cotton layer, the highest purity cotton, the weight is 0.08g, the size is 50mm×50mm, and the maximum thickness does not exceed 6mm ;

2) Burner: methane flow 105ml/min, back pressure 10mm water column;

3) Flame: flame height 20±1mm;

4) Combustion: The center of the flame is placed at the midpoint of the lower edge of the sample, and the distance from the top of the burning appliance to the lower end of the sample is 10±1mm, and maintained for 10±0.5 seconds. If the shape and position of the sample change during the combustion process, the burning appliance should follow Adjustment, if there is molten material dripping during the test, tilt the burner to 45º, and remove the burner at least 150mm at a speed of 300mm/min after burning for 10±0.5 seconds. At the same time, start recording the after-flame time t1, and the after-flame stops. After burning for 10±0.5 seconds, the afterflame time t2 and afterburning time t3 were recorded.

Test record:

1) * secondary afterflame time t1;

2) The second afterflame time t2;

3) The second afterburning time t3;

4) Whether the sample is burnt out;

5) Evaluation of whether the particles dropped during the test ignite the cotton V flame rating
